He was predeceased by: his parents, Guy D. Nelson and Bonnie Ruth McDaniel; and his brother Jerry Nelson. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Nelson; his sons, Bobby Matthews (Destiny) and Randy Matthews; his grandchildren, Lindsey Burns (Malcolm), Chloe Matthews, Pamela Matthews, Jackson Matthews, Nathan Guerrero and Henry Matthews; his great grandchild Hazel Burns; and his siblings, Guy Nelson and Cynthia Crawford (Robert). He is also survived by his numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and honorary children he loved.
