He was predeceased by: his parents, Raul Herrera Sr. and Anita Herrera; his brother Raul Herrera Jr.; and his parents-in-law, Job Salazar and Connie S. Salazar.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Herrera; his daughter Valarie Garza (Lauro); his sisters, Mary Ann Hernandez (Jesse), Gloria Gonzalez (Evaristo), Rosie Sauseda (Bobby) and Sara Ramirez (Roy); Rosie Herrera (Raul, Jr.). He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
