He is survived by: his wife Karen Deffenbaugh; his daughters, Valerie Martin (Charles), Neoma Twining (Kevin) and Jody Stephen (Brad); his grandchildren, Ryne Sandel (Heather), Gary Sandel, Traci Holloway (Colton), Olivia Church (Will), Austin Stephen (Lexy) and Sophia DeLoach (Josh); and his great grandchildren, Caiden Sandel, Ava Sandel, Dylan Sandel, Harper Sandel, Avery Sandel, Korey Holloway, Hadley DeLoach and Shepherd Stephen.

In lieu of customary remembrances, memorial contributions may be made to the First Church of the Nazarene in Bryan, Texas.
