He was predeceased by: his daughter Sheri Lanier-Morris; his mother Mary Lou Outletta; his stepfather Charlie; his father Kenneth Lanier; his in-laws, Helen and Millard Burress; his siblings-in-law, Buddy Burress (Annette), Avinell Wheeler and Betty Coots; his nephews, Lance Burress, Greg Burress, Ronnie Wheeler and Mark Coots; and his pets, Fella, Charlie, Bubba, Trouble, Jack and Lola.
He is survived by: his wife H. Sue Lanier; his daughter Susan Lanier Williams; his grandchildren, Christopher Morris, Caitlin Morris and Justin Williams; his sisters, Wanda Linsley (Pat) of Bryant, AR and DeDe Hocutt (Doug) of Conway, AR; his aunt Joyce Files of Monroe, LA; and his sister-in-law Ina Ruth Reed of Concord, AR. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
