He was predeceased by: his parents, Douglas Leon Peters and MaeDelle Hensarling Peters; his sister Mildred Jane Peters Murphy (Millie); his brothers-in-law, Robert Murphy and Milton Bell; and his niece Jean Marie Hicks (Bell).
He is survived by: his sister Joyce Bell; his children, Jeff Peters (Caron), Lynn Shields (Scot) and Gretchen Davis (Scot); his grandchildren, Candice Lyon (Baylor), Chassidy Crenshaw (Gage), Gabrielle Baker (Kory), McClendon Hill (Ashlea), Madison Pharr (Christian), Morgan Davis and Amanda Stafford (Cameron); his great grandchildren, Braysen Lyon, Braxton Lyon, Saydie Crenshaw, Bennett Lyon and Henleigh Hill; and his nephew Douglas Bell (Linn). He is also survived by 3 children 7 Grandchildren, 5 Great Grandchildren.
