He was predeceased by: his parents, Captain Hardy Purvis and Mae Purvis; and his sister Desma. He is survived by: his wife Elaine; his children, Elizabeth Stahlman (Chad) of New Braunfels, Emily Kimbro (Ryan) of Dripping Springs and Lucas Purvis; his grandchildren, Colter Kimbro, Jade Stahlman, Cambell Kimbro, Collier Kimbro, Marigold Stahlman and Lottie Stahlman; and his siblings, Burl Purvis (Mary) of Buda, Linda Purvis-Ellis (Jimmy) of Dallas and Dian Peavey (Rich) of Austin.
