She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Hartman and Nelda Hartman; her husbands, James Harold Hoekstra and Fred Jonas, Jr.; her stepfather Charlie Koch; her parents-in-law, Andrew and Hilda Hoekstra; her sister Carol "Candy" Foerster; her siblings-in-law, Jerry Foerster, Dorothy Kosub, Mary Lou Hoekstra, Dora Mae Hoekstra and Hubert Kosub; and her nephew Larry Hoekstra.

She is survived by: her daughters, Melissa Volz of San Antonio and Melanie Fugler (Richard) of Lake Jackson; her grandchildren, Kenlynn Volz, Fisher Fugler, Jamesynn Volz (Jamie) and Zane Fugler; her friend Dorothy Dobbs; her close friend Barbara Meyers; her siblings, Dorothy McKechnie, Jessie Killian, Nona Lowery, Leslie Holmes, June DeVolin, Marion Green, Roy Hartman (Cheryl) and Donald Hartman (Debra); and her brothers-in-law, Herman Hoekstra and Arnold Hoekstra. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
