She was predeceased by: her parents, Charlie McGalin and Jessie Lee McGalin; her husband Roy Albert Stimits; and her siblings, Erma Matlock, Sherry Kellum and Charles Henry McGalin.
She is survived by: her children, Monica Ann Mahfouz (David) of Beaumont and Roy Alan Stimits (Carol) of North Carolina; her grandson Christopher Mahfouz of Houston; her children, Megan Stimits (John) of Tennessee and Eric Stimits (Florence) of Virgina; her great grandchild Jace Stimits; and her sisters, Jerry Durham (Ed) of Center and Vivian Crawford of Buna. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, October 7th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Family and Friends Broussard's Mortuary (490 Cemetery Rd, Silsbee, TX 77656). A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, October 7th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Broussard's (490 Cemetery Rd, Silsbee, TX 77656). A burial was held on Tuesday, October 7th 2025 at the Morse Cemetery-Buna (2640 Co Rd 777, Buna, TX 77612).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made, in honor of Charlene, to Global Theological Ministries, P.O. Box 291, Warren, Texas, 77664.
