He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Brooks and Nancy (Everett); and his grandson James Johnson. He is survived by: his wife Jackie Brooks of Buna; and his children, Johnnie Johnson of Buna, Jack Johnson of Woodville, Steven Johnson of Buna, Michelle Karl-Villagomez and Abel of Buna. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, October 20th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the First Assembly of God of Buna (34316 US-96, Buna, TX 77612).
