He was predeceased by: his parents, Lillie Suchomel Jansky and John P. Jansky; and his in-laws, Janet Peschel Vitek and Robert L. Vitek. He is survived by: his wife Garla Vitek Jansky; his children, Brian (Emily) of Katy and Laurie Landry; his granddaughter Addison Jansky; his siblings, Johnnie Janksy (Janis), Daniel Jansky (Glenda) and Mary Ann Zucknick (David); his brother-in-law Rev. Bobby Vitek (Tammy) of Fredericksburg; and his caregivers, Kayla, Sheri, Joyce and Casita De. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
