It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Vera Mae Beasley (Buna, Texas), who passed away on May 28, 2025, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though her name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Vera Mae leaves upon the hearts of her loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of her spirit and the richness of her legacy.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Bill Odom and Mamie Odom. She is survived by: her husband Melvin Arthur "Toby" Beasley; her children, Richard Beasley (LaNita), Sissie Wright (Charles) and Bruce Beasley; and her pet Cricket. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, May 30th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the First Baptist Church (1155 TX-62 S, Buna, TX 77612). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
