He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruth Cecil and William Cecil; his brothers, William Cecil "PeeWee" Burden Jr. (Eula Faye) and Perry; and his son-in-law Wally Derleth.
He is survived by: his wife Eula Faye Lowe; his close friend Joyce Heptner; his children, James Micheal Burden of Burkburnett, Beverly Burden and Christina Fountain of Burkburnett; his grandchildren, James "Micheal" Burden Jr. (Sue) of Burkburnett, Katie Fairbanks (Walter) of Cisco, TX and Hannah Bachert (Connor) of Burkburnett; and his great grandchildren, Jake, Tyler Burden, Caleb, Hatchet Fairbanks, Sabrina Rodriguez (Josh), Dealani Fishbeck and Brooks Bachert.
