He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie "Bill" Ruth and Lavida Ruth (Overton); his brother Dean Ruth; his brother-in-law John Green; and his nephew Steve Green.
He is survived by: his wife Patty Ruth of Burleson, Texas; his daughters, Kari Ruth (Bob Cowan) and Suzanne Woolsey (Brad); his grandchildren, Harli Woolsey and Owen Woolsey; his brother Don Ruth (Olga); his brother-in-law David Green; and his nieces and nephews, Donna Ruth, Doug Green and Dani Tabet. He is also survived by his family, friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Project PacMin (https://www.projectpacmin.org) (Backpack Ministry) which provides assistance to K–12 students within Burleson Independent School District who experience food insecurity at home.
