He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph David Giles, Sr. and Clara Bell Giles; and his brother Daniel L. Giles. He is survived by: his wife Mary Frances Giles of Burleson, Texas; and his children, Joseph David Giles III (Rebecca) of Mesquite, Texas, Dean Giles (Maura) of Midlothian, Texas, Denise Swinney (Mike) of Ruidoso, Beverly Ibison (Steven) of Wesley Chapel, Florida, Karyn Sevener (Shane) of Alvarado, Texas and Laura Pate (Brant) of Keller, Texas.. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
