He was predeceased by: his father Jose Mario Hernandez (Mercedes Murillo); and his brother Ramiro Hernandez. He is survived by: his wife Lucia Trevino; his children, Victor Hernandez, II (Brittnee) of Denton, TX, Aida Peña (Anthony) of Canyon, TX and Izak Hernandez (Araceli) of Dalhart, TX; his mother Mercedes Murillo; his grandchildren, Desi Hernandez, Hanna Rankin, Triston Peña, Myli Hernandez, Rycel Hernandez, Zane Rees, Kazlynn Hernandez and Emilia Hernandez; and his great grandchildren, Samuel Peña, Micheal Peña, Amiri Hernandez and Landon Rankin.
A prayer was held on Sunday, September 20th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Morrison Memorial Chapel (1015 S Dumas Ave, Dumas, TX 79029). A funeral Mass was held on Monday, September 21st 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church (501 Center Dr, Cactus, TX 79013).
