He was predeceased by: his parents, W. J. Karr and Jennie Tucker Karr; his brothers, Gerald Karr and Ronnie Karr; and his grandson Steven Curtis "Curt" Karr.
He is survived by: his wife Shannon Lee Posey Karr; his sons, Steven A. Karr (Wendy) of Pilot Point, C. Stanton Karr (Debbie) of Haleyville and Sidney J. Karr (Robert) of Pilot Point, Texas; his brother James C. Karr (Cherri) of Whitney, Texas; his sisters-in-law, Betty Karr of Seymour, MaryAnn Karr of Pontotoc and Deborah Thorne (Burrell) of Tuscaloosa, AL; his grandchildren, Lacy Abbott (James), Blake Karr (Leanna) of Haleyville, Sidney Karr (Jessica) of Royse City, Riley Karr of Denver, Michael O'Reilly (Jennie) of Grapevine, Brendan O'Reilly of Houston and Ryan O'Reilly of Greenville; and his great grandchildren, Ashlynn and Lillian Abbott.
