He was predeceased by : his parents, F. A. Brinkman and Annie Brinkman; his uncles, Eldie, Herbert, Dan, David, Alvin and Melvin; and his aunt Lydia Urbanovsky.
He is survived by : his wife Georgia Brinkman; his son Dennis Brinkman (Twila); his grandchildren, Kayla Johnson (Jared) and Justin Brinkman (Marissa); and his great grandchildren, Luke, Kole Johnson and Mackenzie Brinkman. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
