With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Ruth EDNA Matthews of Call, Texas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 16, 2025 at the age of 65. She was predeceased by: her parents, Charlie Sibley and Annie Mae Sibley; her grandparents, Sherman, Matilda Sumbler (Herman) and Matthews Jr.; her children, Jacklynn, Michelle, Charles Matthews and Clifton Matthews; and her siblings, Charlott Granvle, Charlie Sibley, Jr. and Thelma Sue Williams.
She is survived by: her brother Jerry Sibley; her sister-in-law Vivan Sibley (Wilson Sampson); her nieces and nephews, Herman L Matthews III (Hope), Tanya Matthews-Morrison (Kenneth), Marcus Walker and Kissie Lewis (Lain); and her goddaughters, Demeka Randolph and Tiffany Sibley. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
