It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dennis Cook of Calvert, Texas, born in Hearne, Texas, who passed away on March 26, 2026, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Helen Cook and A. B. Cook; his brother Bobby "Bud" Cook; his son Kelly Cook; and his wife Debra Cook.
He is survived by: his sisters, Anita Lee and Rita; his brother-in-law Wayne Barker; his son Dennis Garrett; his stepchildren, Justin Staley (Nicole) and Temperance Johnson; his grandchildren, Kaden, Tori Johnson, Audrie Hollis and Camryn Morphis; his great grandchildren, Paxton Cooper, Walker Hollis and Silas Morphis; and his niece Neda Jafari. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
