It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Amelia Mendoza of Cameron, Texas, who passed away on May 11, 2026, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Cruz Reyes and Basilia Reyes (Salazar); her husband Manuel Mendoza Jr.; and her siblings, Ruben Reyes, Cruz Reyes, Jr., Joe Reyes and Helen Reyes.
She is survived by: her children, John Mendoza of Cameron, Jason Mendoza (Jerrica) of Cameron and Cyndi Mauldin (Britt) of Little River; and her siblings, Jesse Reyes of Cameron, George Reyes of Belton, Jimmy Reyes of Bryan, Esther Perry of Georgia, Delia Eicke of Temple, Mary Christopher of Llano, Basilia Nelson of Cleveland and Martha Fuentes of Cameron. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
