She was predeceased by: her parents, Tommie Lee Brooks, Sr. and Murriel Daniels; her husband Henry Taplin; and her siblings, David Brooks, Tommie Lee Brooks, Jr., Kathryn Smith and Lillian Brooks.
She is survived by: her son Thomas E. Taplin (Charlotte); her siblings, Nathaniel Brooks, Charles Brooks (Grace), Jessie Brooks, John Brooks, Doria Brooks and Wilma Jean Brooks; and her brother-in-law Mike Smith. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren and friends.
