We are sad to announce that on May 1, 2023, at the age of 73, Anna Whipkey of Camp Wood, Texas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by : her husband Jesse Whipkey; her parents, Milford Hurt Sr. and Geraldine Hoisington Hurt; and her siblings, Dorothy Perkins, Milford Hurt Jr. and Melvin Hurt.
She is survived by : her siblings, Beatrice Larrison of Itasca, Texas, Adeline Coleman of Kerrville, Texas, John Hurt of O'Brien, Texas, Arthur Hurt of Blum, Texas, Myrtle Hurt of Whitney, Texas, James "Jimmy" Hurt of Clifton, Texas and Lawrence Hurt of Hillsboro, Texas; and her children, Jesse "Bubba" Whipkey (Lori) of Camp Wood, Texas, Sharon Bishop (Billy) of Barksdale, Texas, Nita Upchurch (James Alligood) of Camp Wood, Texas, Jerry Whipkey (Judy "JJ") of Camp Wood, Sheila Bishop (Carl) of Camp Wood, Texas and Donald Whipkey (Katherine) of Whitney, Texas. She is also survived by 63 grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you make a donation to St. Jude's Childrens Hospital in Anna's memory as this charity was one that she personally supported, and was dear to her heart.
