She was predeceased by: her parents, Glen Gibson and Sarah Irene Gibson; her husband Leo Thompson; her daughter Lillian Russell; and her siblings, Elbert Gibson, Leon Gibson and Shirley Hurd.
She is survived by: her children, Glenn Thompson (Tina Ray) of Amarillo, Tonja Weatherholt (Bill) of Amarillo and Melissa Hastings (Ray) of Yantis; and her son-in-law Bill Russell of Canadian.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 10th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Canadian (203 S 3rd St, Canadian, TX 79014). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 11th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Abundant Life Assembly of God Church (310 E Birch St, Canadian, TX 79014).
