With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Alvin Griffin (Canton, Texas), who passed away on March 20, 2026 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Alvin may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Alvin touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin "Clois" Griffin and Francis Juanita "Nita" Collins Lee; his stepfather J. M. Lee; and his siblings, Shari Lee-Lupton and Ronald Lee.
He is survived by: his close friend Susie of Weatherford, Texas; his daughter Melody; his son-in-law Cody Allen of Argyle, Texas; and his grandson Clark Allen. He is also survived by aunts, nephews, cousins.
The family invites those who wish to honor Gary's memory to make a donation to the American Cancer Society or a charity of their choice.
