It is with sadness that the passing of David Shelton (Canton, Texas) is shared. David, born on June 16, 1942 in Grand Saline, Texas, passed away on July 1, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Eugene Shelton and Rosalee Kilburn Shelton; his sister Susan Mims; his mother-in-law Tot Myers; his nephew Kasey Crim; his great-niece Alyssa Crim; and his pet Missy.

He is survived by: his wife Dian Shelton of Van; his daughter Dana; his son-in-law David Cotton; his son Darin; his daughter-in-law Jennifer Shelton; his grandchildren, Danielle, Garin Shelton and Devri Cotton; his niece Avery Crim; and his sulphur-crested cockatoo Sugar.
