She is survived by: her children, MariaElisa Rangel, Joanna Valdez and Cynthia Chavez; her granddaughters, Gianna Horner and Georgia Horner; her siblings, Rosario Valdez and Rafael Rascón; and her former husband Enrique Chavez.

Visitation was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Sunset Funeral Home-Americas (9521 N Loop Dr, El Paso, TX 79907). A rosary was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Sunset Funeral Homes - Americas (9521 N Loop Dr, El Paso, TX 79907). A Mass was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church (5750 Doniphan Dr, El Paso, TX 79912).
