He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Emil Acker, Sr. and Irma Clara Acker (Haecker); his wife Caroline "Kaleen" Acker (Stollewerk); his brother Harvey Acker; his nieces, Loretta Brown, Etta Lou "Tita" Rose and Vickie Lynn Kennedy; and his nephew Lewin Mitchell Rose.
He is survived by: his nieces and nephews, Rozelle Watson, Ramona Peck (Jim), Dianna Jo Neuse, Kathy Rust, Tommy Acker (Pam), Russell Stollewerk (Ann) and Don Kirmse (Paula); and his sister-in-law Annabelle Acker. He is also survived by numerous great-nieces and great-nephews; numerous great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews; and numerous other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to: First Protestant Church, SOS Food Bank, or Hope Hospice.
