She was predeceased by: her parents, Hosea Sigman and Naoma Sigman (Reynolds); her husband Scott Murphy Downing; and her siblings, Mattie Mae Sigman Smith, Lois Otelah Sigman Black, Cecil Clinton Sigman, Recil Millard Sigman, Stanley Sigman, Carroll Dock Sigman and Mary Faye Sigman Jones.
She is survived by: her son Stuart Downing (Patricia) of Amarillo; her granddaughters, Kayla Sullivan (Craig) of Keller and April Downing of Ft. Worth; her great grandchildren, Hadley and Case Sullivan of Keller; and her sister-in-law Shirley Sigman of Lubbock.
She also served on the Board of Directors for the Panhandle Plains Heritage Foundation for many years.
