It is with sadness that the passing of James Woosley of Canyon, Texas is shared. James, born on October 2, 1940 in Wheeler, Texas, passed away on September 29, 2026. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of James Woosley to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, N. P. Woosley and Mattie Woosley (Greenhouse); his son Mark; and his sister Patricia Warren. He is survived by: his wife Pat Wood; his children, Liz Dean (Kenny) of Canyon, TX, David Wood (Anji) of Borger, TX, Danny Wood (Julie) of Granbury, TX and Kristen Glaze (Russ) of Canyon, TX; his grandchildren, Jaimi, Brittany, Shelby, Weston, Josh, Hailee, Morgan, Grant, Cameron, Kennedy and Ridgleigh; and his brother Richard Woosley (Debbie) of Waxahachie, TX.. He is also survived by 21 great grandchildren.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 10:30 AM at the Saint Stephen Church of Amarillo (4600 S Western St, Amarillo, TX 79109).
The family suggests memorials be made to Maverick Boys and Girls Clubs of Amarillo, 1923 S. Lincoln St., Amarillo, TX 79109.
