We are sad to announce that on September 18, 2025, at the age of 74, Lawrence Thompson of Canyon, Texas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, N. W. Thompson and Georgia Thompson (Creason); and his siblings, Opal Bailey, Norman Thompson and Norma Alexander.
He is survived by: his wife Levinie Thompson; his sons, Lawrence Creason Thompson (Laura) of Portales, NM and Dan Thompson (Dana) of Amarillo; his grandchildren, Haley Pritchett (Mason), Becca Smith and Logan Disney; and his siblings, Georgia Edney of Palestine, TX, Linda Lax of Shamrock, David Thompson of Shamrock and Bill Thompson (Anita) of Childress.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 21st 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Brooks Chapel (1702 5th Ave, Canyon, TX 79015). A funeral service was held on Monday, September 22nd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Jubilee Apostolic Church (5804 Erik Ave, Amarillo, TX 79106). A graveside service was held on Monday, September 22nd 2025 at 3:00 PM at the North Fairview Cemetery.
