It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Richard Lewis Bennett of Canyon, Texas, born in Great Bend, Kansas, who passed away on September 25, 2023, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Marion Bennett and Ardis Bennett (Shepherd); his grandchildren, Brice Bennett Hedgpeth, Dominque and Danielle Hedgpeth; his son-in-law Charlie Hixson; his sister Sue Ann Bertram; and his grandfather Louis Shepherd.

He is survived by : his wife Beverly Bennett; his children, Misty Hixson of Canyon, Marc Bennett (DeeDee) of Canyon and Milton Carrasco (Chris) of Corrales; his sister Joanne Lesher of Pratt, Kansas; and his pet Saydee. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials be made to Hope Choice Pregnancy Center, 6709 Woodward, Amarillo, TX 79106.
