He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Eugene and Myrtle Maud Brazzeal Boren; and his sisters, Virginia Ellis and Billie Jean Pugh. He is survived by: his wife Alice Boren of Carthage; his daughter Stephanie Price (Jimmy) of Carthage; his brother Wesley Boren of Carthage; his brother-in-law Max Pugh of Houston; his granddaughter Amanda Rose Howell (Bud); his great grandchildren, Ty, Remi and Kimber; his grandson Bruce Johnson (Darcy) of Carthage; his great grandchildren, Levi and Jensen; and his grandchildren, Dana McAllister, Krista Samford and Bradley Price. He is also survived by numerous other relatives and a host of friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, August 24th 2026 from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM at the Hawthorn Funeral Home (307 W Wellington St, Carthage, TX 75633). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, August 25th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the First Baptist Church of Carthage (256 S Market St, Carthage, TX 75633).
