He was predeceased by: his wife Cora Jane "Janie" McFadden; his parents, Willard Pierce and Dessie Yarbrough McFadden; and his son-in-law Tommy McKnight. He is survived by: his children, Kaylan McKnight of Shiloh, Joey McFadden (Becky) of Shiloh and Renà Weatherford (Kyle) of Laneville; his grandchildren, Justin Jones (Natalie), Graham Jones, Tammy McFarlin (Michael), Timothy McKnight (Kris), Tyler McFadden, Alyssa Birmingham (Boone) and Whitney Weatherford; his niece Pattie Landreneau (Larry); his nephew Mike Lofton (Harriet); and his great grandchildren, Kallan Bo Jones, Lailey Beth Birmingham, Cason, Korigan, Taryn, Jaden, Karli, Isabella and Kolton. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of dear friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Hawthorn Funeral Home (307 W Wellington St, Carthage, TX 75633-2530). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Hawthorn Funeral Home Chapel (307 W Wellington St, Carthage, TX 75633-2530).
