Don Lipsey Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Don Lipsey of Carthage, Texas, who passed away on September 2, 2025, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ronald Lavern "Tight" and Mary Ellen Whitehurst Lipsey; and his brother Ronald Ray Lipsey. He is survived by: his wife Sallie Lipsey; his children, Clint Lipsey (Julie), Hillary McCollum (Schacht) and Stuart Lipsey (Brooke); his grandchildren, Evan, Ethan, Olivia Stuart, Travis and Evelyn Lipsey; his siblings, Mary Ann Lipsey, William Lipsey (Traci) and Scott Lipsey; his stepmother Waldine Lipsey; and his aunt Joya Lipsey. He is also survived by loving relatives and many friends.
Viewing was held on Thursday, September 4th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM at the Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home (1131 TX-149, Carthage, TX 75633). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 5th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the First Methodist Church (201 S Shelby St, Carthage, TX 75633). An entombment was held on Friday, September 5th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Odd Fellows Cemetery (102 E Cotton St, Carthage, TX 75633).
