It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ginger Gale Ivey in Carthage, Texas, born in Houston, Texas, who passed away on April 29, 2026, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though Ginger may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Ginger touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James William and Joanna Jane Wilber Lindemood; her brothers, Charlie and Jim Lindemood; and her daughter Brandy Nichols.
She is survived by: her daughter Tammy Ivey; her grandchildren, Brandon Schmaltz and Emily Saenz (Aidan); her great grandchildren, Adelaide Saenz and Sullivan Saenz; and her cousin Debra Rabon.
Her contributions to public safety and her family's happiness will endure in the hearts of all who knew her.
