With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Katherine Newman of Carthage, Texas, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Katherine left this world on July 26, 2025 at the age of 70, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Archie and Vivian Emmons Prudhomme; and her siblings, Penny Roberson, Pete Prudhomme, Joe Prudhomme and William "Rooster" Prudhomme.
She is survived by: her husband Eldon Newman; her daughters, Crystal Stephenson (Jack), Jeannie McClure (Rod) and Joni Jones (J. D.); her grandchildren, Blane Stephenson, Brady Stephenson, Christian McClure, Chandler McClure, Zachary Jones, Colton Jones and Kenna Jones; her great grandchild Waylon Jones; and her sisters, Betty Morris (J. D.), Ann Brown and Patty Walker (Marvin).
Visitation was held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home (1131 TX-149, Carthage, TX 75633). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel (1131 TX-149, Carthage, TX 75633). A burial will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Restland Memorial Park (2107 TX-149, Carthage, TX 75633).
