He is survived by: his wife Kay Thomas; his children, Scott Thomas (Carrie), Trela Weesner (Jeff) and Tana Hoelscher (Derrick); his grandchildren, Rosston Thomas (Kenleigh), Shelby Carter, Miller Thomas, Emily, Andrea Weesner, Christena Wellbrock (Nick) and Brenden Hoelscher; his siblings, Arona Bryson (Gordon) and Elizabeth Kemp; his sisters-in-law, Mickie Thomas, Linda Gholston Thomas, Dianne Jones (Pat) and Reba Allison; and his close friends, Jessie Allison and Jacob Ramerez. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home (1131 TX-149, Carthage, TX 75633). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the First Methodist Church (201 S Shelby St, Carthage, TX 75633). A burial will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 at 3:30 PM at the Macedonia Cemetery (1843 US-79, Carthage, TX 75633).
