She was predeceased by: her mother Rosa Bega Pickens; her stepfather Wilbert L. Pickens, Jr.; and her grandparents, Justo and Marcelina Bega of Elgin. She is survived by: her siblings, Victor Martinez and Michelle Pickens Valenzuela. She is also survived by 19 great-nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Friday, January 16th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at 1221 N Avenue C, Elgin, TX 78621. A funeral service was held on Friday, January 16th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
