He was predeceased by: his wife Dorothy Stevens Patten; and his brother John Lynn Patten. He is survived by: his son Norman Ray Patten (Susan); his grandchildren, Amy Denise Whitacre (Michael), Eric Lane Patten (Britni) and Lynn Marie Brown (Clayton); his great grandchildren, Reese, Eva Rose, Jace Patten, Bailey, Brody Whitacre, Reagan, Miller, Riley and Bennett Brown; his sister Margie Moore; and his half-sisters, Ilona McClain and Brenda Jones. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
