She was predeceased by: her husband John Walter Hayes; her parents, Jewell Evelyn Dodgen and Rodger Milton Dodgen; her brother Milton Lee Dodgen; and her nieces and nephews, Mitchell Dodgen, Dana Dodgen and Robin Dodgen.
She is survived by: her children, Rick Hayes (Julie Hayes) and Judy Smith (Dennis Smith); her grandchildren, Dennis Smith (Lori), Brandon Smith (Brandi), Collin Smith, Whitney Knode (Chris), Abbie Dollar (Nick), Leah Carriveau (Thomas), Shawn Hayes (Shelby), Colin Pace (Ashley) and Garrett Pace (Melanie); and her great grandchildren, Sydney Kirk (Walker), Jacob Smith, Kyla Arnold (Jonathan), Ashlyn Campbell, Everly Dollar, Easton Knode and Elliana Knode. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cherished friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Jaynes Memorial Chapel (811 S Cockrell Hill Rd, Duncanville, TX 75137). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 at 2:30 PM at the Little Bethel Memorial Park (1803 Cedar Hill Rd, Duncanville, TX 75137).
