He is survived by: his wife Josephine Houston; and his children, Kevin Houston, Jeffery Houston (Claudia), James Mayes IV (Mandeep) and Alisha Mayes-Johnson (Milagro). He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; extended family, fraternity brothers, church family, and many friends.
