He is survived by: his wife Donna Annette Dotson; his sons, Jeffrey Wayne Dotson (Teresa Dotson), James Jacob Dotson (Michele Dotson) and Jeb Stewart Dotson (Vanessa Dotson); and his siblings, Pat Jones, Keith Dotson (Maggie Dotson) and Harold (Clarice Dotson). He is also survived by eight grandchildren, and a great-granddaughter.
