She was predeceased by: her parents, Olive DeLay and Jack Higginbotham; her husband Ray Kyle Carter; her son Brandon Carter; and her grandson Alec Carter.
She is survived by: her daughters, Cori Stennett (Mandy) of Haines, Alaska, Fallon Bowers (Andy) of Olney and Salina Carter of Austin, Texas; her grandchildren, Erin Fuentes of Austin, Jaylee, Bradi and Cashton Bowers of Olney; and her siblings, Kimberly Randolph of Austin, Kelly Higginbotham and Toby Higginbotham of Odessa, Texas. She is also survived by Nieces and nephews.
In addition to being a sustaining donor to the Central Texas Food Bank for many years, she often donated to causes she cared about and always contributed to children's fundraising efforts.
