She was predeceased by: her parents, James Marshall Meyers and Anne Inez Meyers; her husband Leo Allen Chambers, Sr. of Natchitoches, Louisiana.; and her siblings, Irving Marshall Meyers (Jimmy), Marilyn Ann Lantrip and Mary Louise Munden (Susy).
She is survived by: her children, Leo Allen Chambers, Jr. of Cedar Park, TX, James Lamar Chambers (Becky) of Tyler, TX and Anne Alena Chambers (Tom); her grandchildren, Austin Chambers (Maria) of Denver, CO, Travis Chambers (McKenna) of Mead, CO, Emma Lynch of Austin, TX and Sophia Lynch of Austin, TX.; and her great grandchildren, Sasha Chambers of Denver, CO and Wren Chambers of Mead.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 8th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home (848 Keyser Ave, Natchitoches, LA 71457). A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, December 9th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Minor Basilica (145 Church St, Natchitoches, LA 71457). A burial was held on Tuesday, December 9th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Fern Park Cemetery (1560 Grace Ave, Natchitoches, LA 71457).
In lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice Austin or the Alzheimer's Association would be greatly appreciated.
