He was predeceased by: his son Wilmer (Earl); his parents, Wilmer Hurst (Talma) and Inez Hurst; his brother Roger Hurst; and his brother-in-law Melvin Garrison.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon Hurst; his son Dr. Wayne Hurst (Jill Hurst); his granddaughter Tonya Hurst; his son Johnny Goss; his son-in-law Bill Marinacci; his grandchildren, Ashley Hurst, Michael Pruett, Lauren Allmond and Andrew Allmond; and his great grandchildren, Jaxon and Tucker Allmond.
