It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David Junior Boyd of Center, Texas, who passed away on February 19, 2026, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, D. B. Boyd and Maurine Farmer Boyd; and his siblings, Steve Boyd and Bobbie Jean Boyd. He is survived by: his wife Shirley Yates Boyd of Center; his children, Michael David Boyd (Jamye Matthews Boyd) of Center and Jennifer Ann Boyd Mulch (Christopher Mulch) of Naples; his grandchildren, Hannah Brooke Mulch, Cody Maska Mulch, Thomas Christopher Mulch, Camila, Zachery David Mulch, Reagan, Abbigail Taylor Mulch, Gracie LeAnn Boyd and Addison Kay Boyd; his sisters, Charlotte Boyd Scruggs of Joaquin and Freida Boyd Parker (Charles Ray) of Joaquin; and his sisters-in-law, Bobbie Yates and Betty Trant. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
