He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Rushing and Dura Mae Wheeler; his wife JoAnn Barbee Rushing; and his brothers, Nicky Leon Rushing and Albert Earl Rushing.
He is survived by: his daughters, Kimberly Sue Rushing Davis, Amanda Jo Rushing Wiggins (Brandon) and Pamela Faye Rushing Taylor (Justin); his grandchildren, William Tye Reynolds (Sonya), Tristian Cole Reynolds (Ashley), Cameron Michael Reynolds, Matthew Ryan Reynolds (Brandi), Jayden Glenn Wiggins, Brylen Jace Wiggins, Toby Lane Taylor and Dusty Lee Taylor; his sisters, Sue Francine Gardner (Don), Norma Jean Runnels, Anita Jackson (Larry) and Sherry Lynn Parks (Charles); and his close friend Melvin (Margie Tomlin). He is also survived by nine great grandchildren.
