He was predeceased by : his parents, William "Bit" Richards and Mozelle Richards; his great grandchild Bradley Kent Richards; his daughter-in-law Kim Richards; and his siblings-in-law, Jan Permenter, Jerry Permenter and Mike Permenter.

He is survived by : his wife Suzanne Richards; his children, David Richards (Michelle) and Donna Richards; his grandchildren, Bradley Richards and Kagen Smith (Stephanie); his great grandchildren, Kiersten Richards, Connor Richards, Kason Smith and Halston Smith; his sister Mary Shy; his mother-in-law Betty Permenter; and his siblings-in-law, Jim Permenter and Janie Permenter. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews; and a host of friends.
