The passing of Doris Jean (Greathouse) Hickman (Centerville, Texas), born in Bay City, Texas leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on September 23, 2025 at the age of 77. She was predeceased by: her parents, Bernice Theresa Greathouse (Brown) of Pasadena and John Wesley Greathouse; her brothers, John Wesley Jr. and Thomas Edward Greathouse; and her nephew Shad Philip Chowden of LaPorte.
She is survived by: her sister Helen Caudle of Centerville; her daughters, Ramona Garrett (John Caudle), Kathryn Koutnik of LaPorte and Theresa Ann Lee (James Lee); her grandson Austin Lee Hickman of Deer Park; and her nieces, Debra Simmons, Joy Nelson and Lori Cornett.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Chapel of the Hills Assembly of God Church (712 E Frontage Rd S, Centerville, TX 75833).
She continued her oil painting, sewing, jewelry making, crafting, cooking, and of course, her occasional casino donation or cruise.
