She is survived by: her children, Derenda Durham (General), Helena Simms-Besses, LaDale Simms (Sherry) and Jerriett Simms (Trish); her grandsons, Kenneth Durham, Jerriett "Lil J" Simms Jr., Carlos Besses, Dale Anthony Simms and Deon Simms; her sisters, Mary N. Lofton, Gertrude "Trudy" Robinson, Leoma Smith and Esther "Happy" Randle; and her close friends, Gwendolyn Hattie and Denise Sirls. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, family and friends.
